Peter Debelius, MD

 

 

Dr. Debelius has more that 30 years of experience working in adult psychiatry. He received his medical degree in Madrid, Spain and then completed his internship and residency at the University of South Dakota.

He has served as the acting Chief of Psychiatry for the VA, the medical director at the Tallahassee Memorial Behavioral Health Center, and was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine at Florida State University. Additionally, he has worked as a psychiatrist at Florida State Hospital and the Apalachee Center.

Dr. Debelius is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He was instrumental in developing many flagship programs at the Tallahassee Memorial Behavioral Health Center and has served as a mentor for students in the field.
